Jimmy Killen’s has over 30 years experience in building timber poultry houses. Our customers include all the major hatcheries and poultry processors in Ireland and many of those in mainland Britain. All have differing specifications but one fundamental requirement – The highest quality housing available at a competitive price.

 All our external timber tongue and groove sheeting is vacuum pressure treated, and then painted with additional wood preservative (green or cedar-wood brown). This double treatment ensures excellent durability and guaranteed longevity.

 Roof sheeting can be provided in a number of choices; polyester coated galvanised steel in a variety of colours or aluminium.

 We use fibreglass wool to insulate the roof and wall panels; this is laid on top of a polythene vapour barrier which prevents dust and moisture affecting the energy efficiency of the insulation.

 Houses are internally lined with asbestos-free, compressed cement fibreboards, designed specifically for use in poultry housing.

 We are also able to provide houses which meet British Standards (BS 5502), Irish Standards and Organic Standards.
